The Snow Queen

The snow queen looms atop the valley
With ardor and with pride.
She's watched her tiny valley grow,
And knows what's drawing nigh.

The aged queen has towered there
For very many years.
She's seen her people's actions
And shed her share of tears

Her silky hair is silver now;
Her gown is old and worn.
But her crown still holds its lovely shimmer
As on the first day she was born.

The lovely queen is old, but wise.
She knows her land is trying.
Her wish for them is truth and love,
And peace to halt their crying.
